Madame says: ONLY YOU
Viktoria’s debut single will be out in May. Here’s the video…explosions, uber-glamour and Pierre et Gilles-type starry sky, gorgeous.
Madame says: BIZARRE BOOK CLUB

For years I’ve been buying these kinds of books…
Having been inspired to clear out some of my clutter I shall have a selection among the goodies on my stall at the George and Dragon Mini-Bazaar on 25th March.
It is as much being obsessed with the having of these books as the read itself…come by and see for yourselves.
Madame says: MAGICAL REALISM

Look at James, David and me posing shamelessly at James’ exhibition the other night. Wonderful to see all his work, I’ve seen a few of the paintings at various stages but a lot of them have been reworked and transformed. I loved David’s portrait so much, the moonlit grotto is a new addition and gives him a mystical air…
James is exhibiting with Layla Lyons at Lynton House, I’m not sure of the exhibition times but it’s on until the end of July – check out his other paintings on his website.
Rather pleased that the ‘arctic fox’ around my neck appears to be alive! As James and I walked home over Waterloo Bridge under the appropriately full moon he had a righteous spring in his step – congratulations James, such a beautiful show!!
Madame says: ELEKTRO KIF

Stevie surprised the boys and me with tickets to see Blanca Li’s Electro Kif dance crew at the Purcell Room on Saturday night.
Electro is the starting point, but amongst the familiar street dance vocabulary of locking and popping and breaking, there is something altogether more lyrical and playful. In contrast to the very macho, confrontational battles and tight, aggressive stock moves of the generic street dance company, here was voguing, contemporary dance and an effortless grace which only comes from exhaustive hard work and rehearsal.
That the choreographer is a (fabulous) woman, Blanca Li is key. I met her for about 60 seconds and she exudes incredible energy and charisma – a choreographer, film director, dancer and actress, she is much quoted as saying, “I like to give life to all that’s in my brain.” Fearless and expressive, she’ll take inspiration from any form of movement and these boys between the ages of 18-22 vicariously and perfectly embody her incredible spirit.
Duke and Joe got every single dancer to sign their programme…and Joe got a bit of ink, “I’ve got dancers blood.” So cool.
If you ever get the chance to see them – GO GO GO!!!!
Madame says: STANDING ROOM ONLY

Lucy, Sefton and I took the kids to the late Tate English National Ballet performance on Friday. Inspired by Picasso’s collaborations with the Ballets Russes it was a hot crush but worth the discomfort when we finally squeezed to the front! The boys took these pictures as we managed to guilt people into letting small ones into the gap in front of the stage so they had an incredible view.
Leo did some wonderful dancing afterwards on the marble floor, partnered by Duke who worked the floor – literally lying down and being dragged by the hood by Leo…I think they invented a new dance genre.
Madame says: RHUBARB

I’m slightly reluctant to share this since I haven’t tried doing it myself yet…but the reason the rhubarb at Dean Street Townhouse is so beautifully pink and perfect is that the chef adds GRENADINE as well as sugar before baking on a high heat for just nine minutes….
Emily and I were so impressed at breakfast the other morning that we harangued our waitress into asking the kitchen to share the recipe with us!
Madame says: TWO LADIES

It’s always a treat when two of your favourite ladies meet and get on so well…oh, and Stevie and Sarah seemed to like each other pretty well, too….
Madame says: MEMENTO MORI

The boys and I went along to Homi’s private view at 10A Blandford Street W1 last night. It’s fascinating to see how he has taken the 2D idea of the collages he makes from the discarded patterns of dead men’s suits to this new sculptural memento mori level.
Each precious, delicate skull is presented in its own perspex box with some of the offcuts. They’re beautiful, poignant objects…and very desirable.
The exhibition’s only on until the 4th March so pop by if you get the chance.
Madame says: JAZ HANDS!

If you know Jasmine this photo is funny because somehow this computer arrangement is very ‘her’!
If you don’t, still hilarious: teeny tiny laptop and wanging great keyboard clattering and wobbling on top!
Madame says: SHOE-OFF AT SIBLING!

Phew, home now and I’m quite proud I managed to get away from the Sibling men’s presentation without the boys leaving a HUGE personal order!!! That they can now fit more-or-less into an XS adult item of clothing is quite a worry…maybe if they start saving now….
Anyway, I’m glad I didn’t mention the SHOES in my post from the Sibling Sister show. Because I got right up close (so did two small people) today and they are so AMAZING! The boys had a shoe-off with Cozette but as wonderful as their hand-me-downs from Liza are, they were left with serious shoe-envy. Creepers with actual knitted fronts, printed ankle boots – leopard and cheetah I believe. So great that one can now wear Sibling from pom-pom right down to pointed toe!!!
