Whilst I’m stealing photos I asked Lektrogirl if I could nick some of hers from when she came to ours for a sleepover on Saturday night (see her blog for more details I’m sure!).
Some people can channel their inner child whilst still being in charge of things and Emma a.k.a. Lektrogirl I realised as she walked through the front door and straight into her PJs is one of those people. The boys couldn’t believe their luck and kept asking me “when are you going?” which is always lovely for a mother to hear, but they couldn’t WAIT to start making treasure maps, play hide and seek (no mean feat considering we live in a flat only marginally bigger than a cardboard box!) and generally pull her around.
I snuck in after a very long and trying night on the wheels of steel to a coffee-aged treasure map and cryptic clues to some treasure I was to find in the morning. We basically spent Sunday in bed, eating brunch and dancing around the front room and it was GREAT! So thanks to Lektrogirl for services above and beyond the call of babysitting and when can you come again????
