ABOUT MADAME SAYS…
Pippa Brooks is known as Madame and Madame Says is about what Madame does.
Madame Says’ readership has grown from a small circle of friends to fellow bloggers to international recognition, so much so that the Daily Telegraph listed Madame Says as one of their Top 20 Fashion Blogs. The blog is about living in London and juggling motherhood with being a DJ, from designing clothing and jewelry for M.Goldstein, to her regular series’ on paper packaging and lesbian chic.
Pippa cut her retail teeth in cult 90s Soho boutique Shop, bringing labels such as X-girl, Tocca, Milk Fed, Marc by Marc Jacobs and APC to London before the mainstream followed. Pippa has thirteen years experience buying for Shop as well as experience in brand development, licensing and an inquisitive eye for the new. Available for consulting services in the above as well as social networking and blogging, Madame is also available to DJ (last year she was resident DJ for Ponystep Paris and London, the White Cube party in honour of Anselm Kiefer and her regular “Madame…would love to entertain” you at the George and Dragon in Hackney).
Co-runs M.Goldstein which has just been included in Time Out’s Secret London (January 2010) and picked up on by the New York Times in their London Underground series. As much a showroom as a shop, Pippa designs for own-labels Goldstein Attire and Youthstyle.
Madame has so much to say but has also chosen other writers to contribute to the website as much to offer a wider range of subject matter for discussion as to bring her friends into the conversation, much like they were all in a virtual room somewhere chatting about their favourite subjects.
